I don’t normally get invited to photograph parties let alone 50th birthday parties (my main work is corporate headshots plus corporate events) but when I do its always a fun evening to cover! There is always a great bunch of friends and family who attend which makes it a great night to photograph. I always try my best to be discreet and focus on people having a good time (with a few groups shots occasionally thrown in). Documenting everything from the beginning to the end of party is a great way of showing a great record of the evening.

One of the best things of my job is getting access to different places throughout that I wouldn’t normally get access to. Groucho Club has always been a venue that I have walked past when I have been passing through Soho but I have never had the opportunity to work there or to invited there!

I am looking forward to my next event there!
